In this condition there is increase in Intraocular pressure, which further leads to damage of the optic nerve.

Open angle -: in this type of glaucoma there is no sign or symptoms in early stage, if not diagnosed timely this can lead to damage of the optic nerve along with significant loss in peripheral vision.
Angle closure Glaucoma -: It is an acute condition in which there is a Rapid rise in intraocular pressure due to narrowing or closure of the filtering angle of the eye. This may be associated with headache, Redness and pain in the eyes or may be vomiting in few cases. This condition is an emergency situation and needs immediate treatment.
